Guest Roy Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Hello group I was examining the control panel of my new PC( albeit refurbished) and found out that there is nothing in the administrative tools section. What I did is I clicked the control panel and switched to classic view and when I clicked the administrative tools I can't find anything in it. Is this a normal or a worrying issue? Thanks! Roy

Do I have to install the admincontrolpanel.reg( which are registration entries)? What will be the effect on its installation...? Roy
Guest PA Bear Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Re: Blank Administrative tools section Follow the instructions for REG files at the top of the page (http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm). Merging the file admincontrolpanel.reg with your Registry will have the /affect/ of adding Administrative Tools to the Control Panel list. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) since 2002 AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net; DTS-L http://dts-l.org/ Roy wrote: > On Sep 15, 4:57 am, "PA Bear" <PABear...@gmail.com> wrote: >> List Administrative Tools in Control Panel (Line 299, Left) >> http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm >> -- >> ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) >> MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) since 2002 >> AumHa VSOP & Adminhttp://aumha.net;DTS-Lhttp://dts-l.org/ >> > Thanks for your reply.. > Do I have to install the admincontrolpanel.reg( which are registration > entries)? > What will be the effect on its installation...? > > Roy
