Guest manzie Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 hi! I have two empty files that insist they're system files, but I believe they are the last remenents of Win-Spy which I have finally gotten rid of (mostly!)! I can delete them in Safe Mode, but they come back eventually. Is there a method to make them dissapear permanently??? nagsteer

Guest Harry Ohrn Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Re: deleting "undeletable" files If you had Win-Spy installed then you need to do some cleaning. Use the manual instructions here http://www.safer-networking.com/removeWinSpy.php There are apps that you can download that will clean it automatically but you will likely have to pay for that privilege. The manual instructions should work though if you follow them closely. -- Harry Ohrn MS MVP [shell\User] http://www.webtree.ca/windowsxp "manzie" <manzie967-junk1@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:y8OdnfVZBbGO03bbnZ2dnUVZ_rOpnZ2d@wavecable.com... > hi! > I have two empty files that insist they're system files, but I believe > they are the last remenents of Win-Spy which I have finally gotten rid of > (mostly!)!
