And i still wanted to used the Realtec AC97 that was already on my pc for a sound output. But the AC97 has dissappeared off of the soundcard list in "Sounds and Audio Devices." How do i get it back? Ask in a hardware group for a better chance of a solution. -- Joe =o)

AC97 usually denotes an onboard sound device. In the BIOS it usually has 2 settings auto and disable. AUTO will recognize the SB and disable. I do emphasize _usually_.
