Guest Tim Sanders Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Server 2003 SP1 This is one of many issues that I have currently ran into with my server. Another is the loss of any reporting through server management, no email of backup reports etc. If I am posting in the wrong area to begin with please let me know and I'll move everything to where I need to be. Thanks in advance for any help from everyone!

Guest Tim Sanders Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Re: Lost Intranet web site after Exchange removal Hi, thanks for the reply! I am showing a default web site and a MS Sharepoint Admin site, both with unassigned IP's and both are running. No sites are listed as virtual. Guest Mathieu CHATEAU Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Re: Lost Intranet web site after Exchange removal So you removed exchange and now you can't receive email from your website ? Guest Tim Sanders Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Re: Lost Intranet web site after Exchange removal I removed Exchnage due to the large amount of email stores it was creating. My backup wasn't running correctly. I had tried to move all the areas that Exchange used to operate, (differant HD by using the wizards in the OS), This just trashed Exchange and all the calendars and Outlook email. Fortunenately I only had 2 people using this right now. After researching all this I decided to just remove Exchange and work on setting up a seperate Exchange server. I followed the procedure to remove Exchange (article ID 833396). This is where everything really got trashed. I am at this point right now. My backups are running ok now, according to the log files/event manager but I can't see anything in the Server Management Console. I just get a HTTP 404 code and description. This is for anything that had a report in there. So...should I just plan on a format and rebuild or what? All my applications are running ok. I just have no calander in Outlook, no reporting, no emailed reports, etc. Thanks, Tim "Mathieu CHATEAU" wrote: > So you removed exchange and now you can't receive email from your website ? > Is that your issue ? > > > -- > Cordialement, > Mathieu CHATEAU > http://lordoftheping.blogspot.com > > > "Tim Sanders" <mstngtim@aol.com.(donotspam)> wrote in message > news:40A90E2D-E3EF-49CD-BABE-329C2F4BEAA7@microsoft.com... > > Hi, thanks for the reply! > > I am showing a default web site and a MS Sharepoint Admin site, both with > > unassigned IP's and both are running. > > No sites are listed as virtual. > > > > "Mathieu CHATEAU" wrote: > > > >> Hello, > >> > >> I am afraid you hosted your intranet inside the exchange virtual web > >> site..am i wrong ? > >> > >> In IIS console, do you still have any virtual web site ? > >> > >> -- > >> Cordialement, > >> Mathieu CHATEAU > >> http://lordoftheping.blogspot.com > >> > >> > >> "Tim Sanders" <mstngtim@aol.com.(donotspam)> wrote in message > >> news:703D81D6-C72B-4340-83AD-B3EB4D1E5868@microsoft.com... > >> > Server 2003 SP1 > >> > > >> > This is one of many issues that I have currently ran into with my > >> > server. > >> > Another is the loss of any reporting through server management, no > >> > email > >> > of > >> > backup reports etc. > >> > If I am posting in the wrong area to begin with please let me know and > >> > I'll > >> > move everything to where I need to be. > >> > > >> > Thanks in advance for any help from everyone! > >> > >> > >
Guest Tim Sanders Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Re: Lost Intranet web site after Exchange removal Ok, do I have the whole world stumped on this or what? Surely someone has some kind of idea for a fix or something?
