WDS hung at 84% on "Expanding files"

I'm trying my first WDS network install of a customized WinXP .wim image. The

initial install goes fine for around 70 minutes but then hangs at "Expanding

files 84%". Then only network traffic from the installing machine to the WDS

server seems to be TCP keep-alive messages. I'm not sure what to check to see

what is hanging this process up.

This was traced to a failing hub.
