I have WindowsXP Home SP3 and use Outlook Express for my emails. When

emailing a photo from "My Pictures" folder I click on "E-mail this file" in

the "Picture Tasks" column on the left . This would then show a window

asking me if I want to make the picture smaller before taking it to my OE

for emailing. I have often used this option in the past however it has now

disappeared and when I click on "Email this file" it takes it directly to my

OE.

Can anyone help me with this please?

Thank you PA Bear, I have enabled line 269 in Kellys-Korner but it didn't

fix the problem, the small window asking to make the pix smaller still won't

show. Any other suggestions will be much appreciated.

Thank you Singapore,

I did the Start/Run, it succeeded,I then restarted my PC but the problem is

still there. I already have the powertoy link but prefer to use the link in

"My Pictures" folder. The question is why did the option disappear after

having used it for years?

Any other suggestions Please?

Had the same problem with XP SP2. This worked for me:

Use notepad to make a text file with the following contents

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.jpg]

@="jpegfile"

"Content Type"="image/jpeg"

"PerceivedType"="image"

Give the file a ".reg" extension. The run it.

Probably best to first use regedit and make sure you don't already have

a ".jpg" key under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.

I'm guessing this entry got nuked in one of the recent updates from MS.
