I am running a two server, single domain network with each server running WS3

SP1. My mail server is running exchange 2003 sp2 and backup exec 10d.

Backup Exec runs and backs up data but fails with this error:

Completed status: Failed

Final error: 0xe0008527 - VERITAS Storage Foundation for Windows (VSFW)

unexpectedly failed. Check that the VSFW service is running, and check the

status of existing disk groups and volumes.

Final error category: System Errors

For additional information regarding this error refer to link

V-79-57344-34087. This article and reference articles led to a dead end as I

do not have veritas storage foundation for windows. I soon discovered the

issue just with backup exec as I can not run a backup using ntbackup. So I

found some other articles one that looked promising was to registered several

DLLs and services as listed here:

1. Click Start > Run, type CMD

2. In the Command Prompt, type following commands in sequence

Cd %systemroot%\system32

Net stop vss

Net stop swprv

regsvr32 ole32.dll

regsvr32 vss_ps.dll

Vssvc /Register

regsvr32 /i swprv.dll

regsvr32 /i eventcls.dll

regsvr32 es.dll

regsvr32 stdprov.dll

regsvr32 vssui.dll

regsvr32 msxml.dll

regsvr32 msxml3.dll

regsvr32 msxml4.dll

Even after several reboots, the problem was not resolved. THe VSS service

is running so I dont have any issues there. Here are my results from
