Have you heard about the hotfixes from Microsoft

Apparently, you can now request hotfixes from Microsoft from the Internet for

older Windows systems without even having to call Microsoft. I have read

about this but not actually experienced it so I cannot say if it is fully

true and/or factual.

Submit an online request to obtain a Microsoft hotfix:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935195

This has been available for several months now.

No, I would give Robear the credit. He is the one out there in the trenches

dealing with Windows security issues frequently.

You didn't go into his Antarctic cave & shake him out of a hibernation?

| What is a Microsoft hotfix?

To know that, you must read the following article, before the match

between your toes reaches meat...!...

• General information about Windows 98 and Windows 98 Second Edition

hotfixes

(206071) - This article discusses general information about Windows 98

and Windows 98 Second Edition hotfixes. ... When a Windows 98 and

Windows 98 Second Edition hotfix is removed, you are prompted for the

original Windows 98 and Windows 98 Second Edition installation disks or

CD-ROMs.
