Guest SJMP Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 How do I troubleshoot this? Have a Vista home machine factory install. running Kaspersky 2009 Internet Security, Office 2007, and HP printing software. When I try to connect to the machine I am getting the following error: "You cannot initate a RDC because the Windows logon software on the remote computer has been replaced by incompatible softwre MrbGINA.dll" Does anyone have a clue as to what I need to do to fix this? What software could of done this on the machine? Thanks, Quote
Guest TP Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Hi, What OS is the machine you are trying to connect to running? I ask because Vista Home does not include the ability for other machines to connect to it via Remote Desktop. As to your mrvgina.dll error, I did a quick google search and it appears that some people have been seeing this with Netgear wireless cards/drivers. If the server pc has a netgear card you may want to search on Netgear's knowledgebase and/or contact their technical support. -TP SJMP wrote: > How do I troubleshoot this? > > Have a Vista home machine factory install. running Kaspersky 2009 > Internet Security, Office 2007, and HP printing software. > > When I try to connect to the machine I am getting the following error: > "You cannot initate a RDC because the Windows logon software on the > remote computer has been replaced by incompatible softwre MrbGINA.dll" > > Does anyone have a clue as to what I need to do to fix this? Guest TP Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Hi, This group is for questions regarding terminal services/remote desktop services. For windows xp questions you should post to one of the microsoft.public.windowsxp.* groups, for example: microsoft.public.windowsxp.general Thanks. -TP MAP wrote: > I am using XP.
