Guest gamaliel Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 help! i did a system restore and now i have no icons, task bar and i can't even right-click (among others)on the desktop. i am able to boot up. however i still have my desktop background screen. i still can navigate on my computer but i have to use task manager. i notic some files were damaged or most likely missing drivers or registry. i also know that system restore did not finish loading. what can i do?

Click File - New Task (Run...) and enter the following command then click OK. %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe Do you see "Undo my last restoration" as shown on the following page?
