Guest WetBehindEars Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Our file server has run out of room so we need to move the shared folders over to a new server where users can access them from here on out. We have the server already and my question is as followed. Is all I need to do is use Robocopy with the appropriate switches and change the netlogin.bat script for the users? We have good backups just in case. I was going to run Robocopy on Friday night and change the login script once that is finished. After that I would test from the users workstation. Is there anything I may be missing?

Guest WetBehindEars Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Re: Moving file shares to new server?? I actually left one thing out. We would be moving these shares from a 32bit server to a 64bit server. Will this create any issues? Thanks for your response.
