Hotspot Virtual Machine????

I just happened to look at my desktop and found a new notepad item that just appeared by itself. It was quite long but this is the jist of it

I see it has something to do with Java. I did go to the NY Times Crossword page for the Sunday puzzle (using IE7 my only browser at the time of the entry) and it always shows the little java icon but I do not use java to play a puzzle.

 

I have no idea what Hotspot Virtual Machine is and I certainly did not save anything to the desktop.
