Guest flamestar Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Using task Manager Processes I found these two unusual entries. 1. WUSB54GC.exe 185344k is using far more virtual memory then anything else. The next highest is WINWORD with 13,840 K 2.HalReader.exe is using 95 CPU on a regular basis. Are they using too much resources

However if it persist, microsoft recommends following kb310560 "flamestar" wrote: > Using task Manager Processes I found these two unusual entries. > > > 1. Guest Gerry Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Re: Vertial Memory too low. Do you have a Linksys Wireless Network Adapter? http://file.net/process/wusb54gc.exe.html You are interpreting the figure of 185,344 as usage. It is not Usage it is an allocation or reservation for use if and when required. The allocation is a large one. Research in Google produced this: http://www.google.com/search?tab=gw&hl=en&lr=&q=wusb54gc.exe%20memory Why did you choose a USB network adapter? What does your network comprise? We went out and he chose linksys adopter G there were other brands but this was ther cheapest. I had a lot of problems with it because it meaassed my sign in page. Then my daughter who's a programer was given a badlI had problems with the adapter before. I still had problems with link sys so I want out to buy another and all I could find was a linksys. I got anmother one the same model and it worked much better but I started getting out of memory messages and a link mesages saying bit map invalid. At this point I don't know what to do. > Hope this helps. > > Gerry > ~~~~ > FCA > Stourport, England > Enquire, plan and execute > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > > > > flamestar wrote: > > Using task Manager Processes I found these two unusual entries. > > > 1.
