Guest Mark G. Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Just reinstalled my OS, Win XP Pro, and now going through all of the updates. Anyhow, I have 4 SATA hard drives on my computer with windows on my Raptor 74gig drive. Anyhow, when these updates install, they are putting folders on another drive. the folder names are an alphanumeric string like '1f4af99a8906011f191860569e7bfa47'. Not sure why it is putting them on this drive rather than the 'C' drive as the drive it is putting them on is my 'F' drive (another SATA 250gig drive). There is plenty of room on the Raptor drive yet. The updates are installing fine, it is just dumping this old data there. Can't I just delete these folders with the files within once all of my updates are complete? I recall an update delete/purge program I have somewhere. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
