Problem with pc but not sure where to post

With the Q6600's - when you run the windows update - if you need the intel chip driver it would say - it's basically a driver for the CPU - not a 'chipset' as in Nvidia thats all.

oh rite,yeah i defo have installed that one,i let it run and it installed everything that it needed including that driver

 

would it still have problems even if the driver is installed because its not compatable with my MOBO,it hasnt been doing much lately thou (knock on wood that it would stay that way) i guess have to shop for a new CPU ey,any suggestions?

was thinking about the E8400,been reading reviews ppl like that one,it a shame that I now go and read reviews on the Q6600 and only to find loads of ppl have been having problems :mad:

alrite,how come? i was looking at the prices for both and they mostly the same,depending on teh MOBO and CPU ofcourse,or is swaping a CPU not as simple as i think it might be :confused:

They are both relatively easy to do but the Q6600 that you have at the moment is FAR better than the E8400

i see,point taken there dalo,well i think I know the main problem with my pc,i will look around and see what there is on the market :)
