Shutdown No Workee

Hi,

When I click START, SHUTDOWN and click the SHUTDOWN or RESTART button the

screen flashes like it's going to shutdown but nothing happens. I've tried

using the mouse, keyboard and touchpad but nothing happens. I end up having

to use the Power On/Off to shut it down. I'm using HP Pavillion Notebook.

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Are you using Lavasoft Ad-watch? I had similar problems and I just

terminate that process before I can shut down. Make sure you have the

latest Windows update from Microsoft. Hope it helps.
