Recycle Bin

I have dual hard drives. If you delete a file off the second hard drive (not

installed with Windows XP), where does the file go?, meaning where is the

recycle bin located?

Re: Recycle Bin

I think to the recycle bin for that partition; however, you might want to

make a .txt file, name it zyzyzy.txt, delete it and see where it ends up.

Re: Recycle Bin

My apology--I answered without thinking the process through. There is a MS

article http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=136517 on how the recycle bin

works and while XP is not listed as one of the systems the article pertains

to, I am fairly sure the process is just about the same. When you read the

article, note that it refers to drives but it actually means partitions. I

have had a query into MS for a month asking if the process is the same but

have not yet received an answer.
