BioWare and LucasArts have officially announced Star Wars: The Old Republic, the much rumored massively multiplayer online role-playing game set in the Star Wars universe. This is actually the second MMO based on the saga, following Star Wars Galaxies, which was released in 2003 but fared poorly due to its overwhelming complexity, bugginess and lack of quest content.

I personally cant wait for this I loved KOTOR 1 and 2 and it was rumoured that a 3rd was on the way - it now looks like this is taking its place which I am a little disapointed in, but I will live :D
