Since the problem doesn't occur in Safe Mode, something you have running

in Regular Mode at startup is causing the issue. Unfortunately, since

you've told us nothing about your computer that's as specific as I can get.

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time

things worked and the time they didn't?

The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the

malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what

programs (and versions) did you use to determine this?

Be sure the computer is clean:

If the computer is virus/malware-free, do clean-boot troubleshooting to

narrow down the cause of the problem:

Your post is rather hard to follow. Did you or didn't you go through

*all* the malware removal steps? Was your computer infected? With what?

I thought you could get into Safe Mode. I don't understand your last

"paragraph" at all.

If you can get into Safe Mode, create a new user account and see if that

works. While you're there, undo what you did with msconfig and be more

careful about what you disable. There are numerous reasons why a machine

will hang at logon - malware damaged startup files, a program or process

starting with Windows, something disabled that shouldn't have been, etc.

I can't even begin to guess from the information you've provided.

I'm sorry but without a clearer understanding of exactly what you did,

it will be impossible for a person who can't see your computer to

unravel things. Consider taking the machine to a professional computer

repair shop (not your local version of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad).

Re: Window XP sp2 hang Log into the user Account

Sorry Malke as i also dont know how to phase it

Yup i did follow the steps, think nothing was found.

then i go into the system configuration utility page and accidently untick

the win.ini file process.

and suddenly everything was alright has it got to do with the file inside

the win.ini

and now who should i do to correct the problem and what kind of computer

info you need from me??

Thanks
