Converting secondary DNS server to primary

I'm hoping this is a simple question - I have a DNS server on W2k that

is a secondary on our main Forward Lookup Zone. I would like to bump

up to be the primary DNS server for our zone, is it as easy as right

clicking on the zone and in the Properties, clicking on the Change...

button? That would have to happen for all the reverse lookup zones as

well?

I would also need to change the SOA record. Is there more to do?

Thx!

You just change the zone to Primary. That's it.

The only question I have to ask is, you say it is a secondary so somewhere

else is the primary, but where is the integrated zone for AD? Maybe you are

not using AD.

Re: Converting secondary DNS server to primary

Thanks Anthony for your reply. I'm not using AD integrated zones, just

the plain text.

Thx again! - Steve
