Guest dorsil Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Your running torrents again Dorsil. is it a problem? Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 This is not simply a matter of observing Rule 3 ( http://extremetechsupport.com/forum/rules-please-read/1721-rules.html#post8820 ) Dorsil but the fact that we have offered advice before on these issues and you continue to infect yourself. We cannot continually go down this road while you continue to download crap. Quote
Guest dorsil Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 rule 3,does not by any means interfear with what i got,for your reference what happened had nothing about torrents, but i was surfing the net, instantly happened that, if no help given,so thanks a lot Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 In your 1st HJT log this was included as it was in your second HJT log; C:\Program Files\DVD BURNING SETUPS\CyberLink PowerDVD Ultra 8.0.2021\PowerDVD8\PDVD8Serv.exe What I'm concerned about is where this entry has come from in the second log as it is not in the first. C:\Program Files\DVD BURNING SETUPS\uTorrent.exe Any ideas? Quote

Guest Wolfeymole Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Look Dorsil let's be fair here ok We have helped you time after time and you keep downloading trash, you even download a free anti-virus from a certain site for goodness sake. We are not being judgemental but we cannot help you when you continue re-infesting yourself with obscure crap. Be honest with us Dorsil and we will help you pal. Quote
mike Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Dorsil, I think some things need clearing up. Wolefymole was not being rude, but simply stating the forum rules. You must appreciate that you have previously been infected with Virus/Spyware and this was a consequence of downloading illegal software. Ie, P2P, torrent software. After only a Month Dorsil, we seem to have the same problem again whereby your PC has been infected and there are still traces of Illegal cracked software on your PC – which have been identified in the HiJack Log. You have ignored our advice about the use of P2P/Torrents and as a consequence have been infected again. If you continue to use P2P/Torrents we can not and will not be able to help you, as outlined in the Rules. Mike Quote Need computer support? Then why not join Free PC Help. Guest Saxon Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Torrents an other P2P mediums help spread malware and it also infringes on the IP / copywrite laws that the orginal vendor released the software under, that is why people get frustrated and it also sounds like before i joined the team that you have had problems steming from this in the recent past. If you post up a current log i will go through it for you but please take my advice and only download software from a legitimate source, and if a torrent is a easy meathod for you because of bandwith constraints use it from a legal source ONLY. Dalo Harkin Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 so you'r telling me that i cant use torrents not even in personal use?for my own purposes? Sorry to add to this - we are not barraging you Dorsil:- Dorsil - you know the forum rules and as others have said we have been in the same situation before with you and P2P - if you use P2P for whatever reason be them honest or not - It will be the root of your problem - people do not care if you are using it for honest reasons they use such methods to spread Malware and Viruses and the best defence against this is to not use P2P.
