Guest inability to logon interactively Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Re: administrator logon on windows 2003 server Hi Meinolf, I was actually sat in front of the server and unable to log on using the correct admin credentials, that said I have resolved the issue by installing the adminpak.msi on a different PC on the network and found that some kind soul had added a user (who had admin rights) into the power users group - the user should never have has admin rights in the first place but just goes to show how easy it is for things to go wrong if one of the It bods makes a silly slip. Many thanks for your prompt response! Guest the new IT guy Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Re: administrator logon on windows 2003 server disgruntled IT worker left and now we can't log on to the domain controllers locally or remotely. I installed the admin tools on a pc and ran the dsa.msc. I used article ID 273720 rev 3.2 and I'm still locked out. I'm trying to locate the other person who set up this domain in hopes that they have the administrator ID and password for the AD on the domain controller. any advice?
