Mouse and Keyboard Lock Up

I have continually been fighting with a intermittant keyboard and mouse

lockup. I changed RAM, ran spyware programs, and have reinstalled Windows

and still have it. Last, I replaced the hard drive and reloaded ONLY Windows

XP Pro and it now locks up after going through all of the windows upgrades.

I only installed the software upgrades. I have looked up the setup

program/bios and the PC does not lock up. I am currently in Safe Mode and it

is not locking up, so far.

 

Any suggestions. This is very frustrating.
