KenB Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Hi, then i will start completly fresh on my pc If by this you intend to wipe the drive and start again - simply format the drive from the installation cd and re-install Windows. I assume that you have a full installation version of Windows? Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! Tootech Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 If you want to get rid of all of the Windows versions you have and start again, boot from your Windows CD. delete all partitions and reinstall Windows with the CD/DVD you have. Quote
ManiacMitch Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 ok thanks tootech very helpful community! but how do i delete all of the partitions im very rubbish with computers Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 If you do not have the disk then get a new copy of XP and read this very carefully Mitch. XP Clean Install Quote
RandyL Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 What is the exact make/model/number of this laptop? Which version is corrupt? What was the XP version it originally had? Do you have the disk for the original version? Is there a recovery option from within Windows? (original factory restore) Where did these three versions come from? Do you have the other two disks? I think we need to completely get rid of all the versions and reinstall the original. Quote We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else.
