Hi,

 

I need urgent help.....

 

SBS 2003 Premium Edition

Dell Poweredge 1800

2GB RAM

 

My server worked fine till last night, since morning, the server is hanging

at Preparing Network Connections for morethan 15 mins. and restarting

automatically.

 

I tried Disable automatic restart on system failure, SafeMode, Safemode with

Networking, Last Known good configuration.....all the options, the same

problem...The server is restarting automatically......

 

Please help me.

Hello,

 

can you try with the network cable physically disconnected ?

Can you run the Dell diagnostic tool (wouldn't be that, but must be sure)

 

Do you have a bartpe CD ?

Perhaps something has gone wrong with the registry. Does your

version of SBS include System Restore? If so then you could

restore the "System" registry file to the version of last night. You

can find it in a folder like this one:

C:\System Volume

Information\_restore{14157744-4FA2-4CAF-BAFB-72CC49941087}\RP707\snapshot

04/09/2007 21:09 8,912,896 _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SYSTEM

 

To restore it, you could do this:

1. Boot the machine with a Bart PE boot CD (the same that

Mathieu suggested).

2. Save the current "System" registry file in a safe place.

3. Copy & rename the one from the most recent System

Restore folder (see above).
