Guest Johan Strange Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Re: Shut Down and Restart options are missing from the Shut down m Re: Shut Down and Restart options are missing from the Shut down m If this is effecting more than one system then it sounds to me like its a Group Policy as it may be a central config, as suggested you can see where the settings is applying from using RSOP. This setting can be controlled from computer config / windows settings / security settings / local policies / user rights assignment , then look for "shut down the system". I use this to control Terminal Servers shutdown. -- Johan Strange _______________________________ MCSE, MCSA + Messaging, CompA+ Logic42 Computer Solutions - The answer to everything "Dave Patrick" wrote: > Delete the Reg_DWord values 'NoClose' > > found at; > > HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer > and > HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer > > Then restart for effect. > > > -- > > Regards, > > Dave Patrick ....Please no email replies - reply in newsgroup. > Microsoft Certified Professional > Microsoft MVP [Windows] > http://www.microsoft.com/protect > > "David-Sac" wrote: > > When I click on START | SHUT DOWN.
