Hello Tony

Welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help

I can't remember offhand but do you know if you have a recovery partition on this Dell laptop?

Do you also have the XP, (if you got one) disk to hand?

it could be a number of things:-

The RAM on the GPU -

The GPU itself

The HDD.

Did you do anything differently the last time you shut the PC down?

installed any new software etc?

Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)

Asus P5K premium black pearl

4GB OCZ Reaper 8500

260GTX
