Guest Curt Christianson Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Re: WaY OT-but help!--digital cameras Wow!! Nice camera. I guess I'm looking for something without all the bells and whistles, yet would be something I wouldn't be bored or dissatisfied with in a short period of time. You-know, the kind that cuts of Uncle Georges' head at family reunions. <vbg> That is one heck of a nice camera, but I've seen it running into the hundreds easy, and my picture taking is actually few and far between. It is also best to visit a camera shop instead of a "big box" store and actually handle the different cameras. Guest PowerUser Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Re: WaY OT-but help!--digital cameras I recently got myself a Canon A630. I get really nice 8MP pics. It's got 4x Optical zoom. Get a big zoom cam only if you need it- they are way larger and heavier and are pointless if you will not use the zoom. 18x zoom is useless if you don't feel like carrying the camera around.
