Guest Julie D. Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 I installed a clean copy of WinXP on my boyfriend's PC and now the sound doesn't work. I attempted to check for driver updates, but no luck. What can I do to fix it? -- jad

Not doing this will prevent a number of devices from working. Look for a CD that came with the motherboard, take the motherboard model to the manufacturer's site, or look up the service tag number. Also look on the OEM site for drivers for the sound card. -- Joe =o)
