Guest Steve Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 OS: Server 2003 R2. I was digging through the registry to change the number or NTBackup logs from 10 to 30 and noticed a registry key I haven't seen before. Location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Ntbackup Does anyone know what the 'eject tape flag' reg key controls? I don't have access to my 2003 server just now but it might be 'tape eject flag' instead, it may also be under one of the sub keys. I'm hoping it means the tape will be auto ejected after the backup completes (crosses fingers). I cannot find any documentation of this setting and don't have permission to test it.
Guest Dave Patrick Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Re: 'Eject Tape Flag' registry setting From the first hit. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22eject+tape+flag%22&btnG=Google+Search If you change the value to 1, Ntbackup will eject the media each time Ntbackup closes. -- Regards, Dave Patrick ....Please no email replies - reply in newsgroup.
