Both my DC's (Windows Server 2003 R2 native AD) get these errors every 5mins

in the Application log and they are filling the logs up

Eventid 1054 Source: Userenv

Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your computer network.

(An unexpected network error occurred. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

So far I have followed the microsoft suggestion as listed below but i still

get the errors - I have listed the results of the suggestions

- In Event Viewer, click System, and check for any networking-related

messages, such as Netlogon messages, that indicate a network connectivity

issue.

no known network connectiviy issues

- At the command prompt, type netdiag, and note any errors. Those errors

usually have to be resolved before Group Policy processing can continue.

no errors

At the command prompt, type gpupdate, and then check Event Viewer to see if

the Userenv 1054 event is logged again.

gpupdate done

To verify that the domain controller can be contacted through Domain Name

System (DNS), try to access \\mydomain.com\sysvol\mydomain.com, where

mydomain.com is the fully qualified DNS name of your domain.

connects fine

Verify that you can access the domain controller by using tools such as the

Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in.

tools work fine

Check to see whether other computers on your network are having the same

problem.

Only the DC's get this message

Are both your DCs in the same site?
