Guest Saxon Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 You have your specs a little confused there, your processor is certainly not a core 2 duo AMD x64 athalon as they are two different processors from two differing manufacturers, download CPU-z and find out what one it is, also what Operating system are you runing XP or Vista? What programs are you running at the time? Cheers, Saxon. Quote
bri_b1988 Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 (edited) my spec is amd athalon 64 x2 duel core processor and iam running internet explorer plus the programme that comes with the game. iam running vista. cheers Edited October 31, 2008 by bri_b1988 Quote
Guest Saxon Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 OK what program came with the game? are you refaring to the game it's self or something it asked you to install with the game. How did you get runescape did you but the disk from a shop or did you download if from a p2p file sharing network like Lime wire or bit torrent? Can you also please post some screen shots of your task manager (you get this on screen by pressing ctrl - alt - delete at the same time). Quote
Dalo Harkin Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Its the GPU - the GPU is one of the worst mobile ones available (as you are using a laptop) there is not much that you can do I am afraid. Chances are that the GPU is not doing its job and the CPU is trying even harder Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
bri_b1988 Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 (edited) hi its a game you play online, you dont need to download anything but there is a programme called swiftswitch that you can download and it gives you extra's instead of having to open internet explorer pages all the time. this is a screen shot i took when i just started my computer up as you can see its on 100% and iam not even playing the game. i dont know how to put screen shots on the post sorry if you explain how then i will thanks bri Edited October 31, 2008 by bri_b1988 Quote
Maz Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Chances are that game requires most of your cpu as your gpu can't seem to provide or balance enough power to run it smoothly, does it do this on all web based games? Quote - /\/\az -
