connections from outlook to exchange via terminal server get endless password prompt

I posted this in an exchange group and one of the MVP's suggested I

post it here as well.

I've recently added an exchange server to a small domain and have ran

into some problem with connections from a terminal server in the

organization. All lan users can connect fine and are having no issues

with exchange.

Connections from the terminal server all fail with an endless

password

loop. When I go into control panel / mail and try to add the account

it will sometimes validate the username, but most of the time it just

prompts endlessly for the un/pw. On the rare occasions that it does

validate the username, once I open outlook it just loops for the

password.

Both the term server and the exchange server are 2003 server R2,

exchange is on the latest SP. Outlook version is 2007. I have done a

repair on the outlook installation with no success afterwards. I've

also tried new outlook profiles and a new account with the smae

results. The term server users can all connect fine from workstations

via outlook or OWA.

I've ran netdiag and dcdiag to verify no issues there and all tests

were passed. I've done some basic rpcping's from the terminal server

to the exchange server and those appear to be reponding, but I'm not

familiar enough with it to go much more in depth than that. There is

no firewall or router between the TS and Exchange servers.

Can anyone offer some assistance here?

Do you have any related entries in the event log?

No, it doesn't register anything in the event logs on either side.
