iwillbekingin2030 Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Why does this site "FREEPCHELP" load so slowly in internet explorer 7...it even slows other sites on that i open on dif tabs of the same window? Is there some way to make it faster or is it just easier to use firefox. but i also have firefox (though i dislike it very much) and it loads fast in there.;) Quote I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me -Noel Coward :p
Goku Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 This is strange as the loading times in Firefox and Internet Explorer should be same. You say you are tired of Firefox, right? Try Opera. You will probably like it better. How much time does a page take to load in Internet Explorer than in Firefox? -- Goku Quote
iwillbekingin2030 Posted November 2, 2008 Author Posted November 2, 2008 reply i like internet explorer but it takes 15-20 seconds to load any page on the site...firefox loads fast like any other site. Quote I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me -Noel Coward :p
iwillbekingin2030 Posted November 2, 2008 Author Posted November 2, 2008 2nd reply i already have three different browsers installed on my pc...but opera looks interesting so i might install it just for fun...thanks for the suggestion.;) Quote I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me -Noel Coward :p
RandyL Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 it even slows other sites on that i open on dif tabs of the same window This makes me wonder if the temporary internet files need to be deleted as I wouldn't think one open window should affect another. iwillbekingin2030 Posted November 2, 2008 Author Posted November 2, 2008 (edited) reply yes...i do that regularily. and it doesn't affect other windows...just other tabs. example: i had this site open in one tab (fully loaded) then i opened a new tab and that site loaded as slowly as this one and continued to be even slower...but when i tried the other site in a new window..it was fast as usual. iwillbekingin2030 Posted November 2, 2008 Author Posted November 2, 2008 Reply - 3 i just deleted the temporary internet files in firefox and now it runs as slow as internet explorer...but only on this site. RandyL Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 I get a range of 4-13 seconds on both browsers. With an occasional lag on both browsers. However FF can appear to be loading faster as it seems to display all the items as they load whereas IE tends to not show anything until more or all of the data is loaded. iwillbekingin2030 Posted November 2, 2008 Author Posted November 2, 2008 Reply - 4 now firefox is working normal again...giving me like 1-4 seconds to load a page??? Quote I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me -Noel Coward :p
Goku Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 This is getting confusing. Please download and install CCleaner from here. Next, configure it according to your preference and run it. Make sure all browser windows are closed when you perform this. It should clear all old temporary internet files and temporary cache. Do you still experience the lag in Internet Explorer? -- Goku Quote
