Destop icons and toolbar

It would appear that all my desktop icons have migrated into a toolbar

and my desktop is clear - when I look under %USERPROFILE%\Desktop all

the icons are there but not showing on my desktop.

 

How do I get the desktop to show the icons again?

Hello,

 

This newsgroup is dedicated to Windows Server. You would get better help on

windows xp newsgroup (or other).

 

I guess:

Right click on the desktop

Rearrange icons

check "Display icons on the desktop" or something similar
