felixm Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I've just tried to install a copy of PES 2009, it installed but when i try a run the game execution is says the game isn't installed, very baffling. When i try to change installiation on the control panel it just uninstalls the game. I had a copy the other week and the same thing happened, so i assumed some one had already used the reg. key because there was no selofane on the box. I've installed a few games from dvd roms and never had this problem. Is there something simple i'm not doing?
Dalo Harkin Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 The keys are for online gaming - As for it not working - are you logged on as an admin? - right click the exe file or the shortcut on the desktop and under properties it will say run as administrator - I have seen a few games do this recently and also make sure that you leave the disk in. If all that does not work - you need to uninstall the game and make sure that all the remnants of it are gone and then reinstall Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
felixm Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 the reg key is also for initial installation for this particalur game. i'll try the suggestions. thx
Dalo Harkin Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I wont go into it on here, but keys are specific for online games and they get tied with the account you set up - Have you ever bought a game with a CD KEY on it and it never ask for it during installation, I have many that fall in that category - some games need the CD key to install the game - but once you enter this incorrectly it will say right away. felixm Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 Dalo, tried your suggestions and no joy. sent an email to Konami support,
felixm Posted November 6, 2008 Author Posted November 6, 2008 a few people have mentioned copying the disc to the hard drive and then try and install, is there is a simple way to do this?
Dalo Harkin Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 No - there is not a simple way to do this, you need specific software and its not that cheap, I am afraid that I cannot tell you a software to use as it could be used for criminal/illegal activities. Await Konami and see what they say - no joy come back and we will explore further. felixm Posted November 7, 2008 Author Posted November 7, 2008 yes, i know this is hmm....illegal, but i purchased the game legally. Konami are taking there time getting back, i've already sent them 3 emails this week and heard nothing from them. Typical!!

All I can suggest is that you check that you are logged on as an administrator, have no other tasks running when you install the game. I know that some companies have limited the amount of times a serial number can be used (5 I think) and this may be one of them, how many times have you reinstalled? I found this www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?p=1350097 - 102k and it may be worth a look KONAMI contact details http://uk.games.konami-europe.com/ or http://www.konami.com Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
felixm Posted November 7, 2008 Author Posted November 7, 2008 i've posted a message on that pes forum. I've installed a reinstalled about 10 times, with 2 different copies & reg keys. i ve had the same results everytime  cheers
Dalo Harkin Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 I am sorry that we cannot help further - but there are so many specific software issues and it comes down to the developers to release patches etc, that being said you can normally get past installing the game - does it try and connect to the internet to validate the key at all?? where are you buying the game from?? a big company like GAME or PLAY.COM or just a shop near you? you could have expired the key if you have installed/uninstalled so many times and if thats the case you need to wait for Konami to come back to you Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
felixm Posted November 7, 2008 Author Posted November 7, 2008 it doesn't get as far as any possible internet interaction, my pc specs are good enough on the settings panel. i bought the game form Game.co.uk. i know the game runs pretty bad online multiplayer, but i would just like to see for myself. ;( cheers
felixm Posted November 10, 2008 Author Posted November 10, 2008 would a problem with flash cause any issues trying to install a game?
Dalo Harkin Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I doubt it - because if it needed flash it would have it on the disk to install Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
felixm Posted November 11, 2008 Author Posted November 11, 2008 looked on the 'Problems and Solutions' page and found this text regarding. Dalo Harkin Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Does it suggest a fix of any kind - that error is saying that the autorun is not working properly. You need to launch the game from inside the file via the .exe and see if that works will be in C:/ program files/ PES2009 etc and there will be an exe file in there for the game to launch should have a pic on it - try that one :) Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.

Dalo Harkin Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Yes - it looks like there is a problem when you launch the game through the autolaunch off the CD - thats why if you use the .exe in the program file it may work! felixm Posted November 13, 2008 Author Posted November 13, 2008 i still haven't managed to install correctly. I tried the advice. I contacted Hp and their advice was create a new user account and run it from that, no joy. Though Konami have finally got back to me, they needed more information so another email is due.. Someone mentioned they used a registry cleaner and updated some graphics card drivers to solve the same problem. thx
