Scheduled Tasks limits

Recommended Posts

I have a client running windows 2003 standard edition sp2. they are telling

me they have roughly 1200 scheduled tasks for the ftp server. they are saying

1300 is the limit. Is this true? and if it is then how do we increase this?

does windows 2003 enterpprise edition allow for more. I have never heard of

this. there is no way they can reduce the number of tasks and they are saying

it will increase over the next 6 months. Thanks for the help.

Re: Scheduled Tasks limits

There's a limit in Windows as to how many services you can have running

under user accounts. It has to do with a type of memory call "Desktop Heap"

The hard limit is 48MB. This article explains it somewhat and might be your

issue.
