Guest Linn Kubler Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Hi, I wanted to locate an object in our Active Directory domain so I went to Action | Find and typed in the name of the object. The object was located and I could see it's properties and move it and all that but I couldn't figure out how to locate it in the tree. How do I determine which orginizational unit the object is located in? Thanks in advanced, Linn
Guest SBS Rocker Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Re: Find in AD Users & Computers? Once you find the object pull up the "Properties". If you go to the "Object" tab you will see the path of the object location in AD. Guest Linn Kubler Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Re: Find in AD Users & Computers? Hmm... I don't see an Object tab. What I have for tabs on a computer property screen are; General, Operating Ssytem, Member Of, Location, Managed By, Dial-in. Location is just a text box. You need to enable the 'Advanced Features' option on the View menu in the ADUC console. Then you will see the Object tab. -- Chris. > "SBS Rocker" <noreply@NoDomain.com> wrote in message > news:%23Ru66XFAIHA.1168@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... >> Once you find the object pull up the "Properties". Hi Linn, Once you've enabled it, the setting will be saved for next time - provided you run the ADUC console on the same machine, under the same user account as when you first enabled it.
