Guest hmatthews Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Hello, I have three servers that exist in a DMZ and I use the Kanguru data bank (external hard drive) as the place to store the data. There are two drives and I have 156GB free space on one drive and 212GB of free space on the other; the file system is NTFS and it's attached via USB to server 1. Server 1's backups are running as they should for daily and weekly but server 2 & 3 are failing with the following issues. Server 1 - Windows 2000 SP4 - has the Kanguru attached via USB and is working correctly. Server 2 - Windows 2003 SP2 - not running as scheduled and when I try to run it manually it tells me that the destination is not valid or that I don't have access. I have tried to run it today and I do get the error but it doesn't show up in a log file. The last good log file was from 9.23.07. Server 3 - Windows 2000 SP4 - not running as scheduled and when I try to run it manually it tells me that the destination is not valid or that I don't have access. I have run this today and I see a log file with today's date that tells me that the specified media cannot be found. The last good log file was from 9.23.07. I am getting the following errors in the event viewer on the following servers: Server 2: source ntbackup 8019, 8000, 8001, 8018 Server 3: source ntbackup 8000, 8001, 8008, 8009

Guest hmatthews Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 RE: Ntbackup error specified media not found & invalid drive & no RE: Ntbackup error specified media not found & invalid drive & no Actually I blew the scripts away and re-did them and they have worked correctly since that time. If you have any advice I would appreciate it. This isn't the first time that this has happened to me while using NTBackup.
