Windows XP Home SP2

Internet Explorer 7

Outlook Express 6

I want to backup copies of :

 

1.-Favorites (Internet Explorer)

2.-Messages (Outlook Express)

3.-Address Book (Outlook Express)

4.-My Documents

5.-My Pictures.

 

Please let me know how to do it.

I believe you have left out some details...

(like how often you want to backup, if you want it automated, if you want to

be logged in/out or it doesn't matter, etc...)

 

However you could copy/paste...

You could SyncToy...

You could setup an actual backup job with a program of your choice...

 

For Outlook Express - although the copy/paste will work with a later

import - you may even want to export (from within Outlook Express) on

occassion and copy those files instead.

I have also changed the default location of where OE stores the .dbx files

(folders, address box, etc)

(this makes the directory path a little cleaner)

Then I use SyncToy to do my backups (.dbx files and other exported files) to

another hard drive.

Stompsoft/Migo PC Backup (rebadged copy of Novastor's NovaBackup)

Acronis TrueImage

Do your own Googling on backup programs.

For:

Favorites: From I'net Explorer: Click File>Export and Import....follow

instructions

Documents and Pictures: From My Pics: Edit>Select All. Then go to:

FILE>Send To>DVD Drive, or to External Hard Drive or to USB Drive(a big
