Guest Meinolf Weber Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Re: W32Time error Hello Aminoo, What kind of server is it? Domain controller or member server? If DC, you have to check if it is the PDCEmulator where you configure the, i assume, external time source. Guest Rich Raffenetti Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Re: W32Time error Use the net time command to synchronize time against a time source. http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/net_time.mspx?mfr=true There are many internet time sources available. See http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/ "Aminoo" <aminbaik@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:FE66BEF5-17E3-439A-B888-9E7F416D1E5F@microsoft.com... > thanks for ur reply > it's a dc > can u tell me more about the soluation "what i have to do" > thanks > > "Meinolf Weber" wrote: > >> Hello Aminoo, >> >> What kind of server is it? Guest Meinolf Weber Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Re: W32Time error Hello Aminoo, If you have more then one DC check out the PDCEmulator, because the external time source must be configured on that machine. Check the FSMO roles to find out the machine: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324801 Here is the setup for the PDCEmulator: http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/en/library/ce8890cf-ef46-4931-8e4a-2fc5b4ddb0471033.mspx?mfr=true If you have only one DC it will automatically hold all FSMO roles.
