Dont have the driver for this motherboard. Cannot find the brand of the mobo

and following are the info I can see on the mobo:-

a/ SIS 5595

b/ ess // Solo 1 // ES1938S

c/ Heat sink with the following markings :- SUPER // BX100

When you boot up you can see the foll info:-

05/27/1999-SIS-620-2A61NJ19C-00

Googled points to Asus mobo but I could not see anything that match the

above info. I think its socket 7

Jumping the gun a bit while still trying to overcome the installation. Hope

someone can help. Thank you

If you have access to a high-speed Internet connection and a CD burner, download the

..iso (or the self-extracting .exe which will extract the .iso) and burn the Ultimate

Boot CD:

http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/download.html

When you have created the CD, boot the problem computer with it (make sure the BIOS

is set to boot from the CD-ROM drive before the hard drive), and from its menu

select the mainboard Tools, then select one of the System Information

choices.....AIDA16 or PC-Config might be best. One of them should be able to

identify your motherboard.

Re: Driver for mobo

Google actually points to a Jetway, possibly 920BF because the code

indicates a model 9.

That looks like the onboard sound chip.

This page tells you how to decipher the above Award BIOS ID:

http://www.wimsbios.com/awardnumbers.jsp

2A61N = SiS 620 chipset

J1 = manufacturer is Jetway or J-Mark

9 = model ID

Try to find your motherboard here:

http://web.archive.org/web/20010302011057/www.jetway.com.tw/evisn/product/slot1_370/index.htm

This appears to be your onboard graphics driver:

http://driver.sis.com/graphic/igp/uniVGA3/uvga3_373.zip

If the above link doesn't work, then go to http://www.sis.com and search for

SiS620 graphics driver.

Otherwise here is Jetway's current download page for drivers, manuals,

and BIOS updates:

http://download.jetway.com.tw/download.asp

This is an older support page:

http://web.archive.org/web/20010203122900/www.jetway.com.tw/evisn/download/driver/index-2.htm

It suggests that your motherboard may be one of these:

620BF/620CF/720AF/720AFr2/720BF/920BF
