I have tried several times (and re-booted as advised) but I keep getting this message. Windows Update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running and you may need to restart computer. Done that twice now and looked down the list

of troubleshooting. Found one that looked like the right one and it said problems with Windows Update had been found and mended buyt I still can't get them.

Another problem is with Norton. It won't let me open it and it isn't showing in the bottom right hand corner of my screen anymore.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am a technophobe and not very computer literate so you need to keep it simple for me I'm afraid.

Cheers, Dee.
