I seem not to be able to install to Windows 2000? says not a valid win 32 program?

I have installed the MS Anti virus package on my XP and Server 2003 systems am very happy with it one year on. I am doing some work on some old legacy equipment and wanted to run Windows 2000 on them with the anti virus package but on install I am getting

a message saying "epplauncher.exe is not a valid Win32 program"

My machine for the 2k o/s is a Compaq EN 733 Pentium 3 128mb Ram which is not happy running XP. It was slow in the early days but after umpteen years of "updates" has slowed to an intolerable pace. In contrast it runs 2k at a very respectable pace for the

programs I use on it.

Is there is an alternative version as it may just be the launcher program that is the problem?
