I'm working with Windows 8 x64 for a few days now and several times a day, the clock in the taskbar stops working completely.

The system clock is running fine, see screenshot. Never had this problem with Windows 7 before.

I can't really tell which event triggers this bug, it seems to just happen randomly.

My system: Thinkpad T400, 8GB RAM, C2D P8700, Crucial M4 256GB.
