Can't compose with calibri 11 pt font?

I'm using windows mail, vista64, have my tools-options-compose-mail font set to 11 pt. calibri. I'm not using any stationary and sending mail in HTML format.

 

When composing email, my font settings default to 10 pt. calibri. as soon as I click into the compose area (according to the font drop down box above the email body). If I access that drop down box, my options are only 8, 10, 12, 14 pt....etc. How can I compose using the font size I want? Ok, I know I'm obsessing, but unfortunately thats just me : )

 

Help much appreciated.
