"Microsoft Security Essentials" program UPDATE display is NOT current ??????

When I try to UPDATE the program & definitions, it then displays: " Virus and spyware definitions: Created 30 days ago "

 

How can I UPDATE in REALTIME ?...OR, is it, and it just DOESN'T SHOW that it is...As I just TODAY installed it..

SYS INFO: WinXP (32bit) w/ SP3...IE8...I have UN-installed ALL PREVIUOSLY installed anti-virus/anti-malware programs ( AS WELL as ANY related FOLDERS, NOT UN-installed, and/or deleted, by the "UN-install process), thereafter...THEN, finally, RE-started computer,

to finalize UN-install of same, yet, the results STILL show a "30 day" update history...
