I have no idea what happened. I just bought this laptop from Wal Mart on Monday the 18th. I get home and everything is running just fine. Until I was trying to make sure that it was all up to date. I looked for updates in the HP help center,

which of course I did find about three. So I installed the updates. I didn't really notice anything wrong until my Internet Explorer started acting up. So I went ahead and told the computer to check for any Windows Updates, and then I got the message that

I needed to "Repair Windows Update Database Corruption"...

It says:

*Potential Windows Update Database Error Detected 0x80070490

*Error 1

-Access to the Path 'C:\Windowssoftwaredistribution' is Denied

I was just recently robbed, otherwise I wouldn't have even had to go and blow money that I didn't have in the first place, just to buy another computer. So I am not very happy with what I am having to go through with this "NEW" Laptop from HP...

I cant barely get it started up sometimes before I get a warning about the system using almost all the memory!

PLEASE help me someone. I REALLY do not have the money to take this damn thing somewhere and have it fixed. Knowing my luck it wouldn't be covered in the warranty that came with it. Even so, I really need to have it with me, and not out somewhere

getting fixed!

Thank You

James
