Updating on Windows 8

I am trying to install windows updates on windows 8. However it won't install and gives the error message "You need to provide administrator permission. To complete this task, yo need to sign in with an administrator account, or ask an administrator to

complete the task for you. But I am the administrator and have signed in successfully.
