I was playing with a system utility program and decided I didn't like it so I uninstalled. Several days went by before I noticed anything wrong. Now my window update buttons are missing from start/all programs/windows update, and Internet explorer/tools/windows

update. When I do a windows update I get a error message "windows update was disabled by your system administrator". If I set update to automatic it works just fine. I have preferred to do windows update manually so it doesn't interrupt me wile I am doing

something. I have been in contact with the software tech support and they tell me to do virus scans. I ran malwarebytes, didn't find anything. Kaspersky did find some problems and cleaned them off. I've been in contact with Kaspersky tech forum and they give

me a clean bill of health. Neither of the two seem to be much help to fix the problem. I can't know this but I don't think what ever Kaspersky found in my firefox cache caused this. Can you help me fix this?

Thanks
